The Full Story
About Dolman Bateman
When a matter turns on financial evidence, the expert you brief needs to do one thing well: hold up under scrutiny.

Dolman Bateman Forensic has been doing that since 1979. Founded at a time when forensic accounting was still finding its footing as a discipline in Australia, the firm has spent more than four decades focused exclusively on this work. Financial investigations, expert reports, and valuation evidence across commercial disputes, family law, and business matters.

That singular focus matters. Forensic accounting is not a sideline here.

Our Founders
Founded by Fiona Bateman and Warwick Dolman, the firm has developed into a specialist forensic accounting practice, focused on financial investigations, litigation support, and expert evidence.

The firm is currently led by Fiona Bateman, whose career has been spent entirely in forensic accounting and expert witness work. Her experience spans decades of complex litigation, and her approach is analytical, independent, and plainly communicated. That reflects what the firm has always stood for.
Built for the Legal Context
Dolman Bateman Forensic works closely with solicitors, barristers, and courts across Australia. Every engagement is approached with a clear understanding of the environment in which the evidence will be used, including how it will be tested.

Reports are prepared with cross-examination in mind. Opinions are formed to be defensible, not just persuasive. The reasoning is transparent because it needs to be.

The Standard Hasn't Changed
Expert evidence should assist the court, not complicate it. That has been the firm's guiding principle since its founding. That hasn't changed in four decades. Neither has the standard.
